Bike Month Kickoff

We kicked off Bike Month with our first club ride of 2014. A respectable turnout for the less than stellar May weather.

Dairyland Trail Dedication

Bikers!

Please join us for the dedication and ribbon cutting of the Dairyland Trail.

This 26 mile limestone surface trail runs from Albany to Brooten through Elrosa, New Munich, and Greenwald.

This is what’s happening that day:

4-27 2013 Greenwald, MN

Meet at 8:45a.m. in the Dairyland Trail Parking lot across from the Greenwald Pub.

9:00AM RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY

9:15AM 1K RUN/WALK

9:35AM  5K RUN/WALK AFTER 1K

to register for the 5k: http://www.stjohnstandrewschool.org/

(registration also on the day of the race)

Here’s a map of the trail:

 http://www.co.stearns.mn.us/Portals/0/docs/Department%20Files/Parks/Dairyland%20Trail%20map.pdf

It would be a great event for the club to attend the ribbon cutting(maybe newspaper photo op?).

Bring a bike that you would want to ride on a packed limestone trail. From my experience, skinny tires work. Bring a backup bike, if you have one.

Wear your CMBC jersey or shirt and represent!

I say we check out this new trail and have a burger at the Greenwald Pub after-Who’s in?
